GYMNASTICS FOR YOUNG ATHLETES AND ALL CHILDREN

 

Our GYMNASTICS CLASSES

Our classes are designed specifically for children from age 3 - 16 and run 4 days per week - Mon-Thurs.
We also offer privates and semi-privates for 14+ years in Pilates, yoga, gymnastics and personal training - Mon-Thurs

For ages 6-10 years, class maximum is 6 children per session to ensure personal attention and assistance so each child gets the most out of every class.

For ages 3-5 years and 10-15 years, class maximum is 8 children per session.

It is essential that:
3-5yr sessions have parent/guardian assistance.
10-15yr sessions have gymnastics/dance experience.

There are three sections within White Zebra:

  • GYMNASTICS FOR YOUNG ATHLETES: Specific classes for gymnasts, figure skaters and dancers.
    These classes are more intense where there is a large focus on alignment, lines and positioning to help further these athletes in their chosen sports.
    There are three types of classes for ages 6-15 years:

    • Strength & Conditioning - building strength, power, plyometrics and fitness

    • Flexibility & Mobility - a focus on range of movement and maintaining strength at end range

    • Forever Strong & Flexi - gymnastics strength and mobility for young athletes no longer competing in their sports - age 10-15 yrs.
      Competitive athletes can still attend. They will still be challenged.

    These classes are designed for children aged 6-11 years and are divided by ability (ie. level or grade in their chosen sport)

  • FUN & FLEXI - Classes for children who do not have experience in gymnastics.
    These classes are for children who would like to have some fun whilst building strength and gaining flexibility.
    There are three types of classes:

    • My First Flexi - exploration, movement and interaction for pre-school children 3-5 yrs

    • Fun, Strong & Flexi - foundation gymnastics including some games - groups divided by age 6-9yrs

  • PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE - focused sessions catering to the individual child or adult’s needs
    (1-3 children / adults per session). Sessions offered:

    • Gymnastics - work on specific areas of strength and flexibility for progression in your sport

    • Personal Training - A mixture of conventional strength training, fitness and gymnastics

    • Pilates & Yoga - Merewether location - Athletes and Adults

    • Injury prevention for gymnasts, dancers and figure skaters - 14 years and above

    • Strengthen, lengthen and stabilise for longevity - Adults
